When it comes to being a business owner, it is the day-to-day operations of the business that can often cause the biggest headaches. Yet even as a sole trader you don’t have to do everything alone. Be it admin, HR or proofreading, you always have the option to outsource. Let’s introduce you to the people who can help…
Carol can help you focus on building your business. While you’re doing that you need to be confident that someone is looking after the nuts and bolts of your business as lovingly as you would, and that’s Carol.
CLEAR DAY BUSINESS SUPPORT AGENCY
We are a team of virtual assistants helping business owners who are ready to hand over their admin tasks. You are overwhelmed with admin, getting behind on annoying little jobs, fed up with spending time on tasks you don’t enjoy and admin isn’t your area of expertise in any case – it’s not what you started your business to do! We help busy, overwhelmed people to find more calm and focus.
Jo helps female business owners, predominately career and leadership coaches and consultants behind the scenes, doing all things content and creative. Whether it’s crafting content that connects or creating scroll-stopping designs, Jo saves people from blank page syndrome! Her clients tend to be a few years into running their businesses and are looking for someone to collaborate with on their content – from social media and blogs to digital assets and course material. Their business is growing and evolving and they know they can’t do it all on their own (and they don’t want to!). Jo is the extra pair of hands they need to keep things moving forward.
Kat runs the VA & OBM Consultancy VA Angels, helping solopreneurs and businesses in high growth state based in the health, spiritual and holistic arena with their back office support, strategy and growth.
Kathryn takes the fear out of HR and employment law for small business owners with 1-100 employees. If managing people wasn’t part of your plan and you’d like some advice and guidance to do it well, have a chat with Kathryn.
Kayleigh helps small business owners by untangling their business administration, which means they are in a calmer place to reach their goals. Her aim is to bring organisation and structure to her client’s work-space and allow them to focus on boosting their business. Kayleigh has worked with charities, entrepreneurs, sole traders, and creatives.
MELANIE COTTON, ARGENTUM PROOFREADING
Melanie helps anyone who puts words out into the public domain and needs to make sure they reinforce their professional image. She helps anyone self-publishing a book. Plus anyone who either lacks confidence in their SPaG or knows they don’t know as much as they would like to and would like some bespoke training tailored to their business needs.

Carol likes “to have fun at work; spreadsheets and Xero aren’t a barrel of laughs but I manage to bring a bit of playfulness to my workplace. I have attended training for VAs who work with people with ADHD. As such, I am particularly sensitive to ensuring those I work with take control of their lives and feel great about themselves.“
All of these women want to make running your business feel lighter and less onerous. Clear Day founder Helen Calvert explains “We absolutely love to bring calm and clarity to the lives of fellow business owners and we are here to become a trusted part of your team. When it comes to business growth, Kat wants you to know that VA Angels have “supported businesses in high growth state from 7k months to 40k months.“
It’s personal for a lot of these business owners, as Kathryn confirms: “I love getting to know my clients as people AND business owners. When I know you well, I can personalise my advice to your needs much more effectively.” Kayleigh wants you to know that “I am a mother to two children who understands that things don’t always go our way, so we need to be adaptable and communicative.”
Melanie explains “I’m not a pedant or a grammar nazi. My job is to make sure your audience has the most pleasurable experience possible reading your content, and I do that by making sure your meaning is communicated consistently clearly. I also love to make sure that you enjoy your writing journey.”

The Organised Entrepreneurs Club has been set up by Caroline Boardman and Helen Calvert to bring together our business networks. Everyone in our Facebook group is connected to one or both of our businesses, as we wanted to bring them all together in one place where we could network and share advice.
Whilst the Facebook group remains private, we have so enjoyed the networking and events we have run for the group that we have chosen to offer some events to all business owners! Sign up to our monthly newsletters to make sure you get all of the dates that are available for networking and fun.
